Sizes of skips we supply;

• Mini Skip - Ideal for smaller projects around the home, general spring cleaning and small building jobs. Has sloping ends for running a barrow board into it.

• Midi Skip - A medium sized skip ideal for most domestic rubbish removal jobs and fair-sized building projects. Twice the yardage of the mini skip, yet still capable of being sited on drives where space is limited. Has sloping ends for running a barrow board into it.

• Builders' skip - A heavy-duty skip for all purposes. The largest of our skips, it is twice the size of the midi skip and is perfect for larger domestic house clearance items and ideal for large building/groundwork projects. All of our Builders' skips have  drop down doors for running a wheel barrow into them, making them safer and easier to load.

Placing of skips

Our drivers are well experienced in the placing of skips on customers' property and take great care and consideration when doing so. When collecting full skips, load-spreading pads are used under the lifting legs so as to avoid damage to driveways.

Most of the skips we provide are placed on customers' driveways, but if required, we can place skips on a road/public highway providing we first get the permission of the relevant council.

Please Note; There is an additional charge for road permits and the council  requires 2 days notice of intention to site a skip on the road.

When placing a skip on the road we supply lights and cones, in full accordance with the Highways Act.

Our Waste Disposal Facilities

All waste from skips is separated and sorted discreetly by yard staff in our Environment Agency licensed Waste Transfer Station, where it is then sent  away to be processed and recycled wherever possible.

We are checked regularly by the Environment Agency to ensure the methods we employ when disposing of waste are in accordance with the laws surrounding the waste industry.

Items we don't accept in skips

We cannot accept any of the following items in our skips;

• Fridges/Freezers
• Rubber Tyres
• Asbestos (or any other material that may be confused as being asbestos)
• Paint
• Gas Bottles
• Clinical Waste (needles/contaminated sharps,etc.)
• Animal Waste
• Flourescent Tubes
• Oil
• Plasterboard
• Toxic/Hazardous Materials

We are ordered not to accept these items by law.

It is the duty of the person hiring the skip to ensure none of the items listed above will be placed in it.
